Die Kalash – Frühlingsfest im Hindukusch

The Kalash are a tribe of 3,000 people living in three villages on the mountainous border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. They are one of the few non-Muslim peoples in the Arab world. Yet they are tolerated by Muslim countries. However, there is now growing pressure on their unique pagan culture. The film portrays a young woman of the tribe who faces some difficult decisions during the time of the traditional spring feast.
