Hitlers nützliche Idole – Heinz Rühmann
ZDF
He was the best known and most popular star of the UFA film studios who the Nazis sought to harness for their own purposes. His proximity to the regime was originally a stumbling block for Rühmann after the war, but he soon won back the hearts of the Germans – as the embodiment of the “little man”. The documentary tells how Rühmann and his colleagues found their role during the Nazi period.
