Chris Hahn became world-famous in the 1980s with his spectacular car modifications and was known to his fans only as “the wing god of the Elbchaussee”. At the end of 2019, Hahn got back into the car business and actually only wanted to work on a few motorcycles, but his loyal clientele quickly caught wind of his re-entry. The report accompanies Chris Hahn and his four employees who fled Syria as they restore his old icons. But this is not at all easy, since most of his works were unique pieces. The special parts now have to be rebuilt by his employees, sometimes by hand, or found in scrap yards in the trove of old wrecks. The search for individual parts and the owners of Hahn’s icons open up a world between luxury and junkyard.
