The Hamburg floods of 1962 left 315 dead and 10,000 people made homeless. Particularly affected were the "little people" in the elbnahen areas that have been in so-called "temporary home" by the flood surprised by surprise in their sleep. The scenes of the documentary drama are interwoven with documentary footage again and again and witness accounts, including the interior of the then Senator Helmut Schmidt and many families who were fighting for their lives in February 1962. An accurate and authentic reconstruction of the events.
