Safari im Reich der Geister – The Pendjari National Park in Benin
In West Africa, the guns of big game hunters sound again – this time for environmental protection. Instead of locking nature away, park rangers embody the concept that humans have to live with and from it. The savannah park Pendjari in Benin shows the immortal conflict between the interests of locals environmental protectionists. The documentary follows a hunter and a farmer through the park.
The Kalash
The Kalash, 3,000 people in three villages in the border mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan are one of the few non-Muslim peoples in the Arab world. Yet they are tolerated by Muslims countries, but there is growing pressure on their unique pagan culture. The film portrays a young woman of the tribe, which is during the traditional Spring Festival from difficult decisions.

One of the largest rainforests of Central America is in immediate danger – from the lumber mafia, gold diggers, and illegal farmers. One district attorney has taken up the battle against this destruction. Guarded by armed soldiers, she hunts down those who threaten the environment of the indigenous tribes of the rainforest.

Cowboytreck mit nassen Füßen
They are up to 80 days and 100 cattle on the road - the Cowboys in the Brazilian Pantanal, one of the largest wetlands in the world. Half the year is an area of the flooded half of France, and the cowboys wade with her entourage from farm to farm in this water world to pick up cattle and bring them to a central Versteigerungsort. The film follows the Cowboys on their hard way of privation.
