Twenty orphans, survivors of the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen and the war, travel to Hamburg at the end of 1945. Awaiting them is the Hamburg banker family Warburg, in whose villa the children find a temporary home and professional care. Between first kisses, open anti-semitism, and a dream of Israel, they discover life again in this dramatized documentary.
